The Amazing, Humble Lemon

One of my favorite "seasonings" when I am cooking is lemon. As often as I can, it is added to my meals and water. Not only do I love the taste, the bright citrus, tangy flavor, but the health benefits of this humble little fruit, is amazing.

  • One of the most impressive benefits is, it's ability to cleanse the liver, gently. A gentle cleanse is the best way to go for your health and body. The liver is important for over 250 different functions in the body, a little important. One I would like to point out is the thyroid. The liver is responsible for over 60% of thyroid health.
  • Lemon is also a powerful antioxidant, this protects the body from free radical damage.
  • It has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties.
  • Aids the body in digestion by increasing stomach acid.
  • Lifts mood.
  • Strengthens the immune system.

These are just a few of the benefits of lemon, the list could go on.

  • Here are a few simple ways to incorporate lemon into your daily routine,
  • Add to your drinking water.
  • Rub the peel or oil on the bottom of your feet.
  • Add to cleaning products.
  • Add to teas, green is one of the best to add lemon too, the combination is powerful.
  • Add to personal care items, shampoo, face masks.

A great product I love from my doTerra oils is oil of lemon. One drop is said to equal one pound of lemons, they are powerful and you need very little. If you would like to know more about these oils, check out my web page: http://www.mydoterra.com/thriveonthebasics/

Saving the world one stick of butter at a time.
God bless,
Jenn
